Antioxidants are chemicals that are responsible for defending our body from the harmful effects of free radicals, a molecule that will destroy or alter the structures of the body’s cells causing a range of diseases. It also has the distinction of slow cell oxidation, achieving a more youthful appearance to who consumes them.

Also, free radicals are unstable molecules that react with substances that are part of the structure of cells, such as fatty acids, causing deformities and defects in them, as well as serious psychological disorders that can turn into cancer. These may affect other components located within the cells as well as some structures of proteins and reach the DNA, leading to the development of disease.
