Now it is mainly for external use that is retained.

- For torpid wounds, chronic ulcers
- Bruises with skin abrasions
- Skin inflammation with or without infection
- Superficial burns even super infected, post radiation dermatitis
- As a disinfectant of the oropharynx as a mouthwash or gargle
- As a disinfectant in the female genital (virginities, leucorrhea)
- As anti-inflammatory eye drops Anti-infective

Internal use is more limited and must be limited to a few days, max 15 days (the concern is slightly toxic):
