If the bad nights take place on an ongoing basis would be advisable to consult the doctor and remedy. Let’s look at what are the most common type of sleep disorder.
1. Consequences of sleep disorders
Sleep disorders are varied. Sleep disorders are included within a large group of disorders affecting the normal development of sleep-wake cycle. Some of these disorders are serious enough to have serious consequences. A sleepless night alone has no impact on our health. The problem arises when we going for several nights continuously.
In this case, it is natural that the next day we feel tired and sleepy and have to make a great effort to concentrate and do our job effectively.Similarly, poor sleep affects our mood and makes us angry and decay, which affects our family environment, employment and social, resulting in a deterioration of our lives.
Lack of sleep can be very dangerous in certain professions such as those made by people who have to drive, operate heavy machinery, make important decisions, and so on. is also a risk factor for accidents.
2. Insomnia
It is common to hear people complain of poor sleep or not enough to be rested. The causes of poor sleep, usually due to the environment as a bad mattress, excessive heat or cold, too much noise, worries, stress, excessive fatigue or irregular routines about time to go to sleep.
Symptoms of Sleep Apnea
Patients with sleep apnea in the first place have much sleep the next day or feel very tired. The important thing in people who snore or have a family member is snoring must be vigilant and see if the snoring is continuous.
If it seems to go with each respiratory cycle is in its infancy then, is what is called primary snoring, but if there are two, three, four snoring and then a silence, the silence is telling us that the patient stops breathing after that space are re-snoring you hear two or three very strong, also the patient moves, do not breathe well and returns to obstruct the passageway for air. In fact we know that many people who were snoring for years and was not granted, developed this problem of obstructive sleep apnea.

Now we know that is closely related to the presence of cerebral vascular disease, stroke, aneurysms, all diseases that result in snoring patients. When people attend the clinic is because I tried a lot, or have already lost their jobs, can not sleep with your partner, not progressing in school, the efficiency for the performance of their activities has been deteriorating gradually, they feel they are ill something but do not know how, have tried all kinds of situations have gone with different specialists, but never to a sleep clinic in Mexico because it is very recent.
Treatment & Recommendations to Prevent Sleep Apnea
When the patient comes to the clinic is an appointment, a medical history, and thus a detailed exploration is required is decided whether or not a study. The review will place sensors on different parts of his body, simultaneously throughout the night he performed three tests, an electroencephalogram or brain functioning.

In the case of snoring patients, respiratory activity and entry and exit of air through nose and mouth were measured continuously throughout the night, breathing movements, snoring, oxygen saturation and heart rate, these variables are very important for the snoring patients. An electrocardiogram was performed overnight, it is of short duration, to observe these changes, in most cases the problem is resolved because one of the most acceptable alternative and more successful to look for these problems is to place a mask that in turn is connected to a computer that generates air at different pressures.
The mechanism is simple air is injected through the nose to the patient to determine the pressure which completely normal breathing, at which time the pressure is established that requires the patient, in cubic centimeters, with the use of this equipment meets complete their disorder, this treatment is used in moderate or severe cases. In grades where only slightly hoarse but no patient stops breathing many times, or breathing pauses are very short, respond well to using a mandibular advancement prosthesis, a device similar to those worn by boxers, the mechanism is very simple and moving jaw increases the space through which air passes, and despite the fall in soft tissue continues with some difficulty but it does.
Finally, surgery is in charge of cutting the tissue lying over without any consequence on the tone or any significant complications, this allows the patient breathe easier because we remember that the cause of obstruction is a growth abnormal obstructing the passage of air, hypertrophy.

What Causes of Sleep Apnea ?
The patient snorer stops breathing when your snoring becomes more intense, mainly because increased weight, if besides that alcohol or taking any sleep medicine, the problem becomes bigger. There are risk factors to be controlled mainly overweight, although there are people without being obese, are also snorers, as in some infants.
Note that men have three times more likely to develop this disease, in a to one that relates three women. It seems that a hormonal factor is protective in women, however, after menopause, tend to snore like men. It can be said that there is a greater willingness in men, but after menopause are equated.
Also, consumption of nervous system depressants such as sleeping pills, many people mistakenly feel they are insomniacs, and in fact is that they are snoring, breathing pauses are causing the wake several times, so they are tired all time. They come with the doctor saying they can not sleep and give you a sleep inducer, however, all the more hypnotic suppress respiratory function, the same circumstances that alcohol worsens the table of all patients with this disorder.

What is Sleep Apnea ?

There are two types of apneas, obstructive and central.
The obstructive is an obstruction in the respiratory airways by an abnormal growth that is present only during sleep. People whose tissues in the throat as the bell, which surrounds the long palate and tongue, any of these can be quite large, causing a resistance to air to pass, causing snoring.
If snoring progresses, the obstruction becomes complete and no air passes causing the occurrence of these apneas. Some people stop breathing 20 times per hour of sleep, some people fail to do so 10 times, an issue that is considered mild, 20 moderate and the average is over 30 is severe, since there are cases where the patient is breathing 100 times in an hour.
Moreover, central apnea is related to dysfunction of the respiratory centers to central nervous system, the brain, our brain has centers regulating cardiac activity and respiratory activity. Then in the central brain sends the signal to breathe. This type of apnea presenting infants who die during sleep, known as sudden infant death syndrome or crib death, have a substrate of this type of respiratory disturbance of central apnea.
