Green tea is a beverage both refreshing and invigorating. It is also a real help slimming and a celebrity to stressful situations.
- The tea plant, or Camella Sinensis is a plant of the camellia family. The variety of teas is dependent on soil, climate and especially the method of preparation of the leaves. Green tea is produced from different plants, but results from specific preparation: green tea (tea or blank) is a tea “unprocessed” composed of leaves steamed and dried. Its nutritional properties are superior to those of processed tea.
- The green tea leaves are harvested young and should be dried quickly. If allowed to trigger fermentation, gives the black tea.
- The main producers of green tea are China and Japan. Green tea is considered Asia as a medicinal herb and is used for over 3000 years in traditional Chinese herbal medicine.
