Acupuncture Yin-Yang

In ancient Eastern philosophy, as in the West, there is a concept whereby a certain level is connected to everything important. Either quantum theory or in the teachings of Socrates, this philosophy is found in all cultures. This is the spiritual plane of the unit, described in most mystical traditions. As this spiritual connection to the subject moves, the next step is “yin – yang.”
In Christian texts we read to John, “In the beginning there was light.” Even here we must understand that the opposite of light is darkness. Then in the beginning there was light and darkness, and comes from the same unified force.
Hence, “yin – yang” is a phrase associated with understanding the world and in the case the universe is in balance. As they say in physics “to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction” The yin-yang theory, this statement could perhaps be cited as: “To every thing there is another equal and opposite.” For example:
* Light – Dark
* Good – Bad
* White – Black
* Heavy – Light
* Earth – Heaven
* Female – Woman
The Yin – Yang takes this concept further, leaving room for a gray area.
How many of us have come to the realization that life is not always black or white? Life has some gray areas.
Therefore it is said that in light there is a seed of darkness. Absolute darkness has the potential to become light and absolute light has the potential to become dark.
